A spontaneous journey through Tanzania led me to spend a day with the Hadza. I photographed family portraits and joined the men around the fire in the early morning as they prepared for the hunt. Between the smoke, the silence and the first light of day, I became less concerned with making perfect images and more aware of the trust involved in being there. I arrived with a camera and curiosity; I left grateful for the time they shared with me.
